ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is driven by a deep need to understand and express human experience through realism. I use hyperrealistic portraiture not only to represent physical likeness, but to reveal inner emotion, personal struggle, and identity.
Growing up in Haiti, I have witnessed both beauty and hardship. These experiences shape my artistic vision. I believe that art should not only be seen, but felt and understood as a living story. Each painting I create carries a message—about freedom, resilience, and self-awareness.
I approach my work with discipline rooted in classical techniques, focusing on anatomy, proportion, and light. However, technique alone is not enough. What matters most is honesty. I only paint what I truly feel and understand.
Through my work, I aim to inspire others—especially young people from my community—to believe in their path, express themselves, and see art as a powerful tool for transformation.
